Bonding

bonding

Cosmetic bonding is a conservative way to repair slightly chipped, discolored, or crooked teeth.  It can alos be used to close spaces between teeth.  During dental bonding a tooth colored restorative material is placed onto your tooth to improve its appearance. The material bonds to your tooth and because it comes in a variety of tooth-colored shades, it matches the appearance of your natural teeth.

Cosmetic bonding is less expensive than other cosmetic treatments and usually can be completed in one visit to our office. However, bonding can stain and it is not quite as strong as other cosmetic treatments such as porcelain veneers. If it  breaks or chips it can usually repaired in one visit.
