Meet Our Staff

Karen H. Klocko, DDS
From the age of 12, Karen knew that she wanted to be a dentist, and her passion for the profession has only grown greater over the years. Karen earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Maryland in 1978 and then graduated with honors from the Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1985. That year, she earned two prestigious honors: She was named Outstanding Senior Woman Dental Student by the American Association of Women Dentists and Outstanding Senior in Oral Pathology by the American Association of Oral Pathology. She then returned to Maryland to do her dental General Practice Residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Karen opened her own practice in Crofton in 1987, and began giving lectures throughout the region on a wide range of topics related to risk management and new techniques in dental care. But her love of esthetics led her to spend years (beginning in 1997) studying coast to coast with “the best of the best” – Peter Dawson, DDS, of the Center for Advanced Dental Study in Florida; Frank Spear, DDS, MSD, of the Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education; and Jimmy Eubank, DDS, of the Eubank Teaching Institute in Texas. She created her own continuing education coursework plan, not only to expand her knowledge and enhance her practice, but also to bring the greatest possible benefit to her patients. Dr. Klocko continues a vigorous schedule of continuing education to bring the best care to her patients.

Karen is the mother of three children – Caroline, MaryKate and Libby – and in her “spare” time, she is an avid reader, enjoys skiing and is learning to play golf.

Picture of Ann Warfield

Ann A. Warfield, DDS
A native of Baltimore, Ann earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Virginia in 1987 and entered the Medical College of Virginia to study dentistry under a scholarship from the U.S. Army. After graduating cum laude in 1994, Anne traveled first to Ft. Carson, Colorado, where she completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry program, and then to Seoul, Korea to work in the Army’s pediatric dental clinic there. Ann returned to Virginia the following year to finish her military obligation. In 1999, she joined the Klocko Center, with a special interest in working with children.

Outside of the office, Ann volunteers at the Stanton Center Dental Clinic to provide care to the under-served of Anne Arundel County, and she also offers her time at the Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts.
